Question by Sweet Southern Belle: ADOPTION Question: How to give parental rights to a specific person?
My friend used to work as a guidance counselor at a crisis pregnancy center (like 10 years)~ well last night one of the girls she helped back then dropped off TWIN BOYS at her house!! My friend wants to keep them and she hasn’t called DHS or the police or anything because she wants to actually be able to keep them, she doesn’t want them going to a state agency or anything else. Does anyone know what to do in this situation?

Answer by MamaKate is an Aunt! If your friend spent ten years counseling then she KNOWS it is ILLEGAL (like FELONY illegal) not to turn the children over to social services if their mother does not return to get them within a few days. (Is she supposed to be babysitting or did the mother specifically say she wishes to terminate her rights?) Without having temporary or permanent guardianship papers from the mother, these children are legally considered abandoned and are in need of services. PERIOD.
Your friend also knows that she would have to be a licensed foster carer to LEGALLY retain custody if the state takes custody. If she does not follow the proper channels, your friend could find herself in a great deal of legal trouble.
Unless your friend has access to the mother and can get her to sign guardianship papers or adoption papers, she MUST contact DSS immediately and allow the children to be assessed. She can let them know that she is interested in fostering and they will tell her what to do. They will work with her if she is qualified and the children have no relatives who want to take custody.
Question by boogergirl_2008: Why can’t a married man stop chatting with other women online?
I just want to ask, “why can’t they just take the time to stop chatting, and spend some time with there wife?” Well my husband has been doing it for the past week. I’m getting to the point of just putting parental guidance on it. He tells me that I should tell him to take time off, but I don’t initially don’t want to. I’m just hoping that it would just happen, and not have to really say anything about it.

Answer by aphexzangel08 He’s looking for attention elsewhere. You better do something about it before he decides to actually meet one of those women. If he thinks you’re not giving him enough attention (sexually, or otherwise), some wh*** out there will be more than happy to. Block chatting, ask him to take some time off and remind him why he loves YOU.
Question by Shemeka: At what age should you talk to children about sex?
I have 3 children ages 9,5,and 2. I got on my computer history and noticed that there were porn sites that have been browsed. I really felt that i could trust my kids and didnt put a parental guidance on my pc. But for now on i will should i start the talk now and if so how do i approach it? I went and checked the time stamps and confirmed it was my 9year old. Omg im so new to this please help.
Best answer:
Answer by nidoran I really doubt that a 9 year old could possibly even know enough about sex to look at pornographic websites. But if he/she did then I think it’s about time to talk to them about it.
Question by Mel: A Parental Issue, or just the way Teens are?
Browsing through the pregnancy column leads to a very scary concern.
There are so many girls, 14-17 posting about being pregnant with their first, sometimes second child. Some seem so proud, while others are fearful of their parents. I hear that teen pregnancies remain high in several parts of many countries. My concern is why?
Is this simply a matter of parents not being involved enough with their children? Or are children much more difficult today, then 10-20 years ago.
I’m really not a believer in the argument that since kids have more access to condoms, they will have sex more. I don;t believe this is the case, as I’m guessing the majority of unwanted teen pregnancies occur when they do not use protection.
Are girls tricked into having sex with boys? Are they caught up in teen love? Or is it because the lack of parental guidance in their lives?
I’m sad to see so many girls becoming mothers so early, and am curious as to the cause.

Question by IGoToSeekAGreatPerhaps: Do you think anyone actually follows the PG rule anymore?
I mean PG means Parental Guidance For Persons Under 15 Years. But Do you really think a 14 year old needs to be supervised watching Agent Cody Banks or something? I mean there are 11-13 year olds who watch MA and R rated movies. I think it’s a very stupid rule that no one follows anymore. What do you think?
Best answer:
Answer by kenjiboards im not sure but when my dad was younger his parents would’nt let him watch pg movies haha

Question by krisseca: why is a 16 year old considered an adult in some countries?
i just need some supporting facts for our research paper about viewership, specifically rated PG (parental guidance) shows. in our data, 16 year olds are considered adults.
Best answer:
Answer by TV guy There is a big difference between “adult” – as in allowed to leave the home, get a job, join the army, get married with no permission, get a driver’s license, etc. and “mature” as in mature enough to watch a violent movie.
In the US, a 16 year old is mature enough to get a driver’s license, but is not allowed to drink!
In other countries, it is the reverse!
